Truckopolis

Mercedes Benz Trucks | Journee

'Truckopolis' offers an immersive virtual exploration of Mercedes-Benz Trucks' innovations, featuring the eActros 600 and over 20 other services.

In collaboration with Journee, I led design and art direction for Truckopolis—an immersive virtual experience developed for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and showcased at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover. The project presented the brand’s eMobility ecosystem through an interactive 3D world, combining storytelling, design precision, and technical performance to engage users both online and in VR.

As lead designer, I guided the creative direction and defined the overall user flow and experience, ensuring every interaction felt intuitive and visually cohesive. I also optimized the high-definition 3D model of the Mercedes eActros 600, balancing visual fidelity with real-time performance requirements across platforms. The experience seamlessly merged UI design with immersive world-building, making complex technological systems accessible and engaging.

At the center of Truckopolis stood the eActros 600—accompanied by a witty AI guide named H.O.R.S.T., who led users through interactive content, scenic drives, and storytelling moments. The project exemplified how virtual environments can elevate B2B communication by blending information, gamification, and design craft into a unified, high-end digital experience.
